Here I proposed a design that is most space-efficient in my opinion.
My focus is in the accessibility from the entrance to the balcony, so there is not much furniture blocking the way.
In the orange area on the layout I focused just for kitchen space with an island table with breakfast bar for two persons.
In this design, I choose blue as the accent color because it is more calming and represent a coastal house as well. However, you can always change this if you have any preference color :)
I put the dining area on the pink area, which I made an L-shaped bench seating format with additional dining chair.
There is a low partition dividing between the dining area and living area, so it will still be an open space and quite convenient for dining as well, since it is still close to the kitchen.
