La veranda appare come una naturale integrazione dell’esistente, reinterpretandone lo stile e rielaborandolo in chiave moderna. I materiali utilizzati sono quelli del legno, già ampiamente presento al soffitto, e dell’acciaio CORTEN, materiale ultramoderno che ottimamente si appresta alle integrazioni in ambienti già fortemente caratterizzati. Il posizionamento della veranda a SUD/OVEST ha comportato la necessità del posizionamento di una barriera attraverso l’utilizzo di tende in lino, queste ultime preferite al brise-solail per non incorrere in alcun modo all’ostruzione sia del passaggio che dell‘affaccio sul giardino, elemento caratteristico e caratterizzante della veranda. Un ambiente dunque fresco ed ombreggiato durante il periodo estivo, chiuso e soleggiato durante il periodo invernale. E’ attorno alla parete dove vi è attualmente posizionato il barbecue che si sviluppa la veranda: è a tal proposito che questa è stata quindi rifunzionalizzata, caratterizzandola e facendone elemento centrale del progetto. Attraverso una pelle con dei moduli di acciaio Corten è stata ricavata una vera e propria parete attrezzata, scelta che permette di nascondere il lavandino (come richiesto dal committente) e di avere a disposizione vari scomparti, alcuni utilizzati come camino e legnaia, altri come teche per la personalizzazione della parete.

It is around the wall where there is currently the barbecue that develops the veranda: it is in this regard that this has been re-seasonalized, characterizing it and making it a central element of the project.
Through a leather with Corten steel modules, a genuine wall was fitted out, chosen to hide the sink (as requested by the buyer) and to have several compartments, some used as a fireplace and wood burning stove, others as teche For customizing the wall.
