Description

The apartment is divided such that no major alteration in partitions is done and the majority of it is maintained in order to resale it later. The following points are key highlighting feature of the design proposed here:

· The original entrance and external opening in the apartment is maintained

· A coat hanger/ shoe rack console is kept at the entrance with backlit mirror above it

· The layout of the living room is updated so that no reflection falls on the television set

· A dining for four is introduced

· The earlier existing kitchen is removed and instead a new kitchen is introduced to make the living room a larger space

· From the living cum dining & kitchen, we move to the master bedroom and kid’s room

· This space is designed such that it acts as a multipurpose room for family

· The bunk bed for kids can be wall attached or free-standing, both serve the purpose

· The master bedroom is the existing bedroom with the same dimension. Only the wall was replaced with foldable/ collapsible frosted glass door panels. This allows natural light to reach the kid’s bed

· The foldable door creates a flexible partition between the kid’s bed and the parent’s bed.

· This system works well even when guests are invited to your place. The kids can sleep in the master bedroom and the kid’s bed becomes a public space.

· The interior walls can be painted white to give it a spacious feel

· A dresser is introduced near the toilet. This is optional and can be used as storage as well.
