In order to divide the apartment into two smaller ones and also keep the main walls, I tried to install a new bathroom for APARTMENT 1 near the balcony next to the living room. I also used this bathroom as a wall separating DAY/NIGHT and also keeping the bathroom in the living area. There is also a long kitchen with with an island next to the wall, combined with the dinner table. The sofa is also on that eastern wall providing a clear space in the middle of the living room.
Both apartments are 50 sqm, however APARTMENT 2 has a bigger balcony that could be used as chill area, or a quick coffee in the morning. Here , in APARTMENT 2, in order to use the previous installations , I have kept the old bathroom, however I have installed a tiny but functional kitchen, leaving more space for a larger dinner table.
The main idea of the DIVIDED APARTMENTS is their residents to use the entry hall together, not only as neighbors, but also as roommates and friends.
