Description

The project aims at converting the 18th century house into a 21th one. Taking as a challenge the low budget for investment, concepts such as comfort, light and flexibility were pushed to it’s limits.

The project was carved from inside out, were the double and single high spaces and glass surfaces invite the natural light to travel freely, giving different atmospheres to the spaces created. The stone walls were kept on the facades facing the sun, in opposition to the white solid surfaces with insolation solutions. Wood planks and the metal structure enrich the space due to their different textures and colours.

From the outside the house kept it´s natural character, having the connection chamber as a breath of contemporary architecture between the two buildings.
