Project description

The renovation project has transformed this' medium-sized apartment , about 87 square meters , hitting precise targets and making it more usable.
The starting point was to improve the layout with the long hallway that separates the rooms day and night on both sides. The other point is to satisfy the customer's demands : create a second bathroom, while maintaining a living room and a large double bedroom and a single bedroom large enough to accommodate a friend .
DEFECTS IDENTIFIED ...
Unused hallway : through the house from the entrance at the opposite end about 9 m . and with a width of about 1.7 m . could be adequately equipped ;
Unique bath: rectangular with linear arrangement , was not sufficient to meet the needs of a family ;
Distribution irrational : the living and sleeping areas are located on either side of the corridor that separates them thus making communication between the environments mainly because little fluid to move from the kitchen to the living room you are forced to go through the entire corridor ;
HERE ARE THE ANSWERS ...
Corridor equipped : it has been downsized in length and has been exploited in its amplitude to place the library and Vanoi containers custom made board;
Bathroom doubled: the existing bathroom was divided into two parts because of its length and has been expanded to about 1 meter in order to obtain a bathroom with access from the hallway and one from the master bedroom. We have chosen this solution because it maintains the position of the fecal column for the supply of plant and therefore is the one that provides the least changes to existing plants;
New split day-night: it was enough to reverse the living room with the first room at the entrance to get a more rational distribution of spaces. The surfaces are nearly equivalent, so the living room is also large, but in direct communication with the kitchen and in the bedroom there was enough space to get a walk-in closet.
