Industrial style house interior

This project was a renovation of an old self-built house. One of the main problems was the lack of openings and bad lighting, The available space was broken down into awkward smaller spaces, making the house into a very unfriendly place to live in, and remained uninhabited for over 15 years.
The current owner of the house wanted to honour the craft of his grandparents', while turning it into a home he would enjoy staying at even if for just a short weekend.
We agreed to enlarge the openings, letting more natural light in, and create a sense of one single large space. The original brick of the walls was exposed, suggesting a loft-style design direction.
