Description

Dear Client
This is our project for the renovation and refurbishment of your home, we took great insight into many catalogues to find the right materials that go in harmony with the exterior and garden.

Our focus was on good materials with a good price. Our suggestion for the facade would be either brick+yellow faux stone+ wood, which is a darker and more neutral set of colours ; or white paint+bluish-grey faux stone+ dark brown wood and red roofing, a lighter and more mediterranean choice. Whichever you choose, it will look stunning with the many flowers and plants we envisioned for your garden - the focal point of the home. Since you have most of the furniture already, we had the time to focus on choosing the plants to fill this relatively small, but very useful and neat garden.

We came up with a scheme of colourful and fragrant mediterranean plants right next to the entrance, opposite them lie the ever fragrant laurel bushes, further inside are acanthus and red sage, giving colour to the centre, helping it become the focal point (due to the Magenta/red -- Green contrast), reddish yew bushes by the wall and 2 sections of the wall covered in white climbing flowers. All of the plants are easy to find (some of them probably already grow nearby, uncultivated) and not hard to take care of as they are evergreen and adept to cold, they don't request a lot of water or sunlight.

The plans are changed minimally, the entrance is relocated, the main living and dining room is expanded and the kids rooms are made into a large room, where they can all play and sleep together, very close to the bathroom and right next to the parents' master bedroom, the orientations were quite good before, your main living room and kitchen are oriented southward and the kids room face a pleasant north-east so waking them up early won't be hard, and playing inside during day will be pleasant, with steady light.

As you can see in the perspectives and renders, we envisioned a small winter garden where the patio stood, that you enter via the kitchen, it can also act as a pantry due to it's north exposure and glass walls which could be covered in blinds or bris-soleils if needed.

We hope you like our project.
