Per la villa in progetto ho scelto di partire da un parallelepipedo bianco di 34x14x5,6 metri che ho poi “scavato” in alcune zone per creare delle logge e che ho “schiacciato” in altre zone per variare le altezze interne.
All'interno di questo volume sono stati ricavati tutti gli spazi richiesti suddivisi in tre zone: la zona giorno, la zona notte e una zona”cuscinetto”.
La zona giorno si presenta ampia e aperta con un soffitto a “doppia altezza” (h.460) e con una cucina a giorno da cui si può anche accedere al grande portico esterno dotato di area barbecue; la zona giorno è inoltre caratterizzata da grandi vetrate (tutte protette dal loggiato), da un camino “sospeso” posizionato al centro del lato corto e dall'accesso diretto alla piscina esterna (9,7x5 metri).
Nella zona notte, in cui il soffitto si trova ad un'altezza più contenuta (h.350), sono ricavate tre camere matrimoniali ognuna con cabina armadio e bagno; tutti i bagni della zona notte sono dotati di ventilazione naturale.
Tra la zona giorno e la zona notte il progetto prevede un'area “cuscinetto” (h.290) in cui trovano collocazione, oltre al corridoio che congiunge le due zone anche il portico esterno e l'autorimessa. Ho scelto di inserire l'autorimessa (due posti auto) all'interno del volume della villa principalmente per due motivi. Il primo è legato a ragioni pratiche: dall'autorimessa si accede direttamente alla zona giorno senza passare all'esterno. Il secondo motivo è invece legato a ragioni di ordine all'interno del progetto complessivo dell'intervento: nessun “oggetto” di disturbo presente nel lotto, ma un unico volume in cui, quasi invisibile, è collocato anche l'ingresso ai due posti auto.
Infine, la copertura della zona “cuscinetto”, essendo posta ad un livello inferiore, consente l'alloggiamento sulla copertura stessa dell'impiantistica senza che sia in alcun modo visibile.

For the project of the villa I chose to start from a white parallelepiped of 34x14x5.6 meters which I then "dug" in some areas to create loggias and which I "crushed" in other areas to vary the internal heights.
Within this volume all the required spaces have been obtained, divided into three zones: the living area, the sleeping area and a "bearing" area.
The living area is large and open with a "double height" ceiling (h.460) and with an open kitchen from which you can also access the large outdoor porch with barbecue area; the living area is also characterized by large windows (all protected by the open gallery), a "suspended" fireplace positioned in the middle of the short side and direct access to the outdoor pool (9.7x5 meters).
In the sleeping area, where the ceiling is at a more contained height (h.350), three double bedrooms are obtained, each with a walk-in closet and a bathroom; all the bathrooms in the sleeping area have natural ventilation.
Between the living area and the sleeping area, the project includes a "bearing" area (h.290) in which the external portico and the garage are located, in addition to the corridor connecting the two areas. I chose to put the garage (two parking spaces) inside the villa's volume mainly for two reasons. The first is related to practical reasons: the garage leads directly to the living area without passing outside. The second reason is instead linked to reasons of order within the overall project of the intervention: no disturbing "object" present in the lot, but a single volume in which, almost invisible, there is also the entrance to the two parking spaces .
Finally, the coverage of the "bearing" area, being placed at a lower level, allow us to house the plant (without being visible in anyway) on the roof itself.
