Description

Dear Client,

Thank you for the opportunity to work on your project, it was a pleasure.
I truly hope that I've managed to meet your expectations and wishes regarding your space.
The requirements mentioned in the brief as well as in the discussions with designers were all taken into consideration.
Even though you have your vision of the space and what it could be, I was very happy to hear that you would like to see other takes on the space and explore other options. This is why I propose a slightly different set-up which I believe would best utilize the apartment space.
I've considered your initial idea, along with several other setups mostly regarding the bathrooms and studio space, and I believe that in the presented project you can get the most out of the space without wasting much floor area on corridors and similar spaces.

I will try to explain the project as briefly as possible but still clarify and explain some design decisions as well as aesthetic interior choices.

Overall layout

All spaces mentioned in the requests are present. The aim was to create an open space with the possibility to close each part of it. The space in general is visually divided into two areas. Day and night area or public and private area.
The first area contains the entrance hall, dining area, lounge, kitchen, studio, and an adjacent bathroom.
The second area contains the bedroom and en suite bathroom.

Design, materials, colors, and furniture

Inspired by street art and pop art and combined with clean minimalist surfaces, and industrial touches, the whole apartment speaks the same story and is coherent but each little space still has its own pop of color or some special accent that makes it special.

The main surfaces are kept simple and clean, epoxy floor with a modern terrazzo pattern in the main area, parquet flooring in the bedroom to give it some warmth, and a combination of terrazzo pattern and black tiles in the bathrooms.

Theodore and windows are black and both contrast and compliment the cleanness of the minimalist finishes with a rough but cozy effect.

The furniture is a blend of minimal and pop art vibe. The colors are either neutral or very vibrant yellow, red and orange tones.

The furniture designs are a mix of popular designs as replicas and other less-known pieces and I believe that the mix and match principle works really well with the desired overall aesthetic and complements the artworks you own or will collect over time.
It first into your overall budget and the presented prices of each piece are average prices depending on where you shop.

As you enter the apartment the whole space opens up for you and you walk into a spacious room full of light and life instead of an enclosed corridor.
A storage unit for shoes and coats is built into the niche in the furthest corner of the room and the space is brightened up with some additional greenery. The dining area has a central position and is accompanied by a built-in low cabinet and open bookshelves above.

As the space opens up towards the windows and balconies the lounge area is placed in the center and a wall is left opposite the sofa as a projection surface or space to hang a tv as shown in the renders. Yep wall towards the bedroom is used for bookshelves and additional storage space.

The kitchen is enclosed with sliding glass panels towards the lounge and a fixed glass window towards the dining area to maintain a visual connection between the two which is especially nice if you're hosting a dinner party or similar. Bellow the fixed window a high bench is placed to serve as a breakfast nook or bar, and even a nice work surface for a change of scenery.

The kitchen is costume made, but if preferred the kitchen that is currently in the apartment can the adjusted to fit the space with some small alterations, but exact measures of it would be needed to do so. This is why it was not presented in the project as an option.

The studio is adjacent to the lounge area and divided from it with glass panels like in the kitchen area. Curtains are added on the inside to visually close the space if more privacy is needed. This space is chosen for the studio as it gives you a more spacious room by using a part of the entrance hall space that was not properly utilized.
The option of having the studio in place of the bathroom or en suite bathroom was considered but it would be a lot smaller and using it as a guest room would be very difficult while still maintaining enough workspace.
This position gives you the opportunity to enlarge the lounge area if you need to by opening the panels towards the studio completely or having a separate room with a sofa bed if you have guests.
The bathroom is accessible from the living area is very spacious and is equipped with a laundry area as you enter the room, double sink, toilet, bidet, and large walk-in shower.
This space is not shown in the rendering as it would be very similar in style to the other bathroom.

The bedroom is accessed from the living area and is furnished with a large bed with a box below as required with two bedside tables on the sides, a cabinet with drawers, and a lounge chair.
All other furniture is custom designed.
The small niche in the wall towards the balcony was not deep enough to fit a regular-sized wardrobe so it's made larger by extending it towards the bed and covering the whole wall with panels to make a continuous wall surface.
On the other side, there is a small walk-in wardrobe with two units, one with hangers and a shelving unit in the niche to the right. Through the wardrobe, you can access the en suite bathroom.
The bathroom is equipped with a sink as you enter the bathroom, a toilet, and a bidet with a built-in cabinet above to the left and a large walk-in shower.
