Firstly, I am very happy to have participated in such an interesting contest. I must say I mostly enjoyed designing your apartment.
The major changes designed for your apartment are:
- The kitchen wall has been relocated to achieve an optimum space occupation, while providing more space to the entry space to have a dining area.
- As demanded, the storage area has been turned into a new bathroom. Additionally the small wall on the east face of the new bathroom has been moved toward west to create a study hang-out seating area as well as maintaining the bathroom itself optimized.
- The main wall for living room has been replaced by a decorative bookshelf, allowing more light to reach the corridor area.
- The door to the previous bathroom which has been turned into a study/work room is moved toward the corridor providing more space for the door way to new study/work room. Furthermore, the southern wall of the study room is moved south creating more space for a closet in the room, while maintaining optimal proportions for the bedroom.
- Two of the radiators have been replaced with new accent radiators ( The one on the left to entry and the one in the bedroom). The third radiator (living room) is the same one hiding behind wooden louvers from the case work set behind the projection screen.
- A small laundry is also created just left to the entry door, which is covered with a modern looking case work door.
- The partition to the kitchen is a glass one just like your reference pictures to allow more light coming through to darker areas.
The POP-ART style is brought to the apartment by utilizing sharp artworks, along with sharp colors occurring occasionally in the design. The context to these pop-up colors and objects is decided to be a modern grey scheme.
The ceiling of the corridor and the two bathrooms are lowered by 15cm to create space for thin linear air terminals as can be seen in renders and ceiling plans.
A projection device along with a large screen is preferred to be utilized in the living room giving more space to the storage shelves and casework. This will ensure the optimum usage of space in the apartment.
Windows are left the way they were to minimize costs as they were in good shape.
The closet in the bedroom is replaced with a simple modern looking and functional one.

In primo luogo, sono molto felice di aver partecipato a un concorso così interessante. Devo dire che mi è piaciuto soprattutto progettare il vostro appartamento.
Le principali modifiche progettate per il vostro appartamento sono:
- La parete della cucina è stata spostata in modo da garantire un'occupazione ottimale dello spazio, lasciando più spazio al l'ingresso per avere una sala da pranzo ...
- Come richiesto, il deposito è stato trasformato in un nuovo bagno. Inoltre la piccola parete sul lato est del nuovo bagno è stato spostato verso ovest per creare uno studio appendere-out zona salotto e mantenere il bagno stesso ottimizzato.
- La parete principale del soggiorno è stata sostituita da una libreria decorativa che consente di raggiungere più luce nella zona del corridoio.
- La porta del bagno precedente, che è stata trasformata in studio/sala di lavoro, viene spostata verso il corridoio, dando più spazio alla porta che conduce al nuovo studio/stanza di lavoro. Inoltre, la parete sud della stanza studio viene spostata verso sud creando più spazio per un armadio nella stanza, pur mantenendo proporzioni ottimali per la camera da letto.
- Due dei radiatori sono stati sostituiti con nuovi radiatori d'accento ( Quello a sinistra per l'ingresso e quello in camera da letto). Il terzo radiatore (soggiorno) è lo stesso che si nasconde dietro feritoie di legno dal set di lavoro caso dietro lo schermo di proiezione.
- Viene creata anche una piccola lavanderia appena lasciata alla porta d'ingresso, coperta da una moderna porta di lavoro.
- La parete divisoria della cucina è di vetro, proprio come le immagini di riferimento, per consentire una maggiore luminosità nelle zone più scure.
Lo stile POP-ART è portato all'appartamento utilizzando opere d'arte taglienti, insieme a colori taglienti che si verificano occasionalmente nel design. Il contesto di questi colori pop-up e oggetti è deciso per essere un moderno schema grigio.
Il soffitto del corridoio e i due bagni sono abbassati di 15cm per creare spazio per sottili terminali d'aria lineari come si può vedere nei rendering e nelle planimetrie a soffitto.
Un dispositivo di proiezione con un grande schermo è preferibile essere utilizzato nel soggiorno dando più spazio ai ripiani di archiviazione e casework. Questo garantirà l'utilizzo ottimale dello spazio nell'appartamento.
Le finestre sono lasciate il senso che dovevano minimizzare i costi mentre erano nella buona figura.
L'armadio nella camera da letto viene sostituito con uno semplice dall'aspetto moderno e funzionale.
