Following your brief, the proposal has been developed with the goal of transforming the former B&B portion of the apartment into a refined, functional, and cohesive residential area that integrates naturally with the already renovated parts of the home. Particular attention was given to creating clear communication paths, maximizing spatial efficiency, and ensuring that each room feels comfortable, elegant, and carefully balanced within the existing architectural constraints. The already renovated portion of the apartment presents a beautiful and inspiring foundation, whose refined character and atmosphere strongly guided the development of the new intervention.

The proposed layout introduces a more rational and contemporary organization of the space while respecting the fixed position of the existing windows and installations. Near the entrance, a dedicated technical unit has been planned to accommodate vertical storage /pressurization unit proposed by the engineer. In the corridor area, a built-in shared entrance wardrobe for coats and jackets has also been integrated in order to improve daily functionality and maintain a clean visual appearance.

Part of the existing long corridor was redistributed and incorporated into the adjacent rooms, allowing for more generous and comfortable proportions throughout the intervention. This approach made it possible to create a well-organized study with a comfortable adjoining bathroom, improving both usability and spatial quality.

The study / multifunctional guest room was conceived primarily as an elegant contemporary workspace with discreet hospitality functions rather than a traditional bedroom. The working desk and integrated Murphy bed are positioned along one wall, while a spacious full-height wardrobe occupies the opposite side, creating a calm and visually balanced composition. The intention was to achieve a highly integrated and refined atmosphere through concealed storage solutions, carefully designed lighting, and clean architectural lines that enhance the perception of luxury and order within a compact space.

The new laundry, positioned adjacent to the existing bathrooms, was designed to maximize practicality and storage capacity. The room accommodates two washing machines, two dryers, a sink, and if needed, has enough additional space for a boiler or part of technical installations if needed.

The boy’s bedroom was envisioned as a spacious and flexible environment suitable for both play and long-term everyday use. Brighter colors and playful elements were introduced around the bed and toy storage areas, while the desk zone and part of the wardrobe incorporate more mature finishes intended to remain functional and visually appropriate throughout school years and into adolescence. Storage is divided into two separate zones with a total length of approximately three meters, ensuring both practicality and visual balance.

The interior concept focuses on a warm contemporary atmosphere inspired by refined hospitality interiors. High-end flooring materials have been proposed throughout the project. In order to maintain continuity with the living area, the same parquet flooring is suggested for the corridors, while the bedrooms feature a more subtle parquet pattern and softer tonal variation that still preserves a strong visual connection with the existing flooring. For additional comfort and warmth, I would strongly recommend a wall-to-wall carpet solution in the boy’s bedroom, particularly to create a softer and more comfortable play environment. Among the visualizations, alternative floor treatment options for the room are also presented, as well as option of dinosaur theme wall paper being on only one wall, next to bed.

Decorative elements were used carefully to introduce personality and atmosphere into the spaces. A playful dinosaur theme was incorporated into the boy’s bedroom, while the study features a gentle abstract wallpaper motif that adds texture and sophistication without overwhelming the space.

Special attention was also dedicated to layered lighting solutions in both rooms, combining ambient, task, and accent lighting in order to create flexible and comfortable atmospheres throughout the day. For the bathrooms, high-quality matte porcelain stoneware has been proposed to achieve a refined and timeless appearance. Alternative renderings featuring marble finishes are also included for comparison and further exploration of the aesthetic direction.

Overall, the proposal creates a highly functional and elegant residential environment that improves the quality of everyday living while giving the apartment a more distinctive, contemporary, and premium character. The redesigned area combines practicality, integrated storage solutions, and carefully curated materials with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that significantly elevates the overall perception and value of the property.
