Description

Hello dear client,

Our main intention and concept is to simplify the space and to make it more logical and practical for every day use.
First, we tried to keep as much of walls as possible, to demolish only the necessary - but to keep the logic of the
space. Considering every position of the existing rooms, we decided to keep that techincal block where it is,
that is consisted of the bathroom at the entrance. It’s easier and cheaper to keep the installations as they are.
Also, according to drawings that you gave us, we were not sure which walls we can or cannot demolish, so we used
our architectural logic in concluding which walls are constructive and which are not, also we tried to predict logic
of the pillars in the attic assuming that some of them are hidden in the central massive wall.

We believe that we can demolish both that wall and the opening and interpret it in more logical way, but we would
like to keep the spirit of the existing space. So we decided to include pillars in new thinner wall in which we
integrated shelving, part of the kitchen and new bigger opening that simbolises that you entering this big,
bright, continuous space - the living room.

LIVING ROOM - we kept it where it is, considering it’s current position around fireplace which is perfect place for
family and friends gatherings in the evenings. What we changed here is adding the kitchen in the opposite part.
We decided to remove the existing kitchen and to make space for master bedroom with it’s own bathroom.
We tried to make new technical block with new bathroom and kitchen as near as possible to the old bathroom to
make the realization possible. Installations are not an easy job, for sure. So, when integrated with living space, you
won’t need one extra table for informal eating what you have now in your kitchen. It is one big, open space.

KITCHEN - We know that the existing kitchen has that extra storage which is very useful, but we tried to incorporate
both new, a bit smaller storage and fridge in that new wall we created in the center of the attic, and make it functional
and more modern. That is shown in solution 1 - and that’s practical because we are using full height for storing.
Considering that angled attic walls, we suggest you put the rest of the kitchen - induction and the sink - under it, and
without upper elements. This won’t give you the full usage of the space, but it will give you the necessary elegance.
We also wanted to put the sink bellow window to have natural light when preparing food.
You can avoid the unnecessary, massive wall extractor fan, and use combination of induction and extractor. What is
also good for you is - the new kitchen is even closer to the entrance so you don’t have to drag your shopping bags
through the whole house.

DINNING - Dinning takes the central position of the living room.

THE NEW BATHROOM - we put it in the most logical space, near the living room - it can be used as guest bathroom,
and it can be used as master bathroom. It was important to us to have the natural ventilation. We are able to make
some other changes in the bathroom, we tried to design it flexible with the dimensions so you can easily change
places of the showering tubs.

THE EXISTING BATHROOM - forms the separated night area with it’s small storage hallway and two children bedrooms.
This is the part of the house the children are going to use. It is not connected to the master bedroom. We thought
getting older will bring certain changes to the family life, and in some point of the children’s life they will feel the
need for physical separation from their parents. For that reason we separated master bedroom from the night zone,
instead, we wanted to connect it to the corner of the attic with two big windows, making it a room with a view.
It is shown in solution one. In other solution, master bedroom can be also here with his and hers part of the
wardrobe. Please pay attention to the position of the pillars in this room. We are more for the solution 1 where this
is night area only for the children. We kept the existing girl bedroom where it is.

THE CORRIDORS - can be used for storage.

Thank you for your time.
