Description

The inspiration for designing the interior of the studio came from the combination of the needs of the inhabitants and the natural beauty of Guatemala. The amazing nature was the stimulus for choosing materials and colors. The purpose was to create a space that reminds to the habitants the feeling of camping and outdoor activities without losing the warmth of the home. The colors are natural with bright elements.
Right to the entrance there is a small wardrobe for everyday objects. The bathroom is well designed. In the shower a glass cabin is putted.
It was chosen to separate the sleeping area from the kitchen for practical reasons (smell etc.) as well as to give the impression of semi-private room. This was also helped by choosing to place the closet in the hallway, to the point where no beneficial space is wasted and is well defined in size. The closet’s material is white in order to light the hall.
The outdoor equipment is stowed under the bed area, so there is more space for them without limiting the studio’s square meters. The creation of this “room” provides the choice of isolation or privacy without being strictly a room. The existence of the curtain gives a transparent boundary. Furthermore, a comfortable living room is created. In case of a visit you can pull the bed’s curtain and have a seating area.
The TV furniture acts as a separator and if you choose one with peaches it could be transported as you wish.
