Residential - Room
In the design of the living space, the central column—rather than being treated as a limitation—has been intentionally incorporated as a defining architectural element of the room.
To make effective use of this structural feature, a horizontal surface has been introduced around the column, transforming it into a functional dining table positioned at the heart of the space. This approach allows the column to serve a dual role: maintaining its structural purpose while also becoming an integral part of the interior layout.
Behind this dining area, the living zone is organized with a sofa arrangement facing the television, creating a clear yet fluid transition between the dining and relaxation areas. This configuration helps maintain spatial continuity while subtly defining different functions within the same open environment.
Overall, the concept aims to turn a structural necessity into a focal design feature, enhancing both the functionality and the visual character of the living space.
