We had a look into your plans and schemes and made our plan
We moved the wall between the living room and kitchen about 60cm into the former
living room to make enough space in the kitchen for a row of cabinets, the oven and the fridge.
Which means this wall will be bearing the electrical installations so on the other side should be the
TV. The kitchen is renovated in the common L shape and there is an island as you wished, the island
is placed between the sink and the oven and fridge so it is in the best place for meal preparation.
Because we moved the wall we created an indent in the living room which we filled with L shelving.
The dining area is placed between the living room and kitchen, so the food can be easily brought in and
out of the kitchen.
We added a bathroom on the place you wanted, by the kitchen, and another one next to the Master bedroom
We also extended the two rooms as you wished.
On the pictures and plans you can see:
in red - the walls that we planned for demolishing
in green - the walls we plan to bring up
in orange the marks of the doors
and in blue the furniture organisation.
All the doors that could be made are sliding
only the doors where due to construction bearing walls and due to lack of space we couldn't fit
the slides, like in the bathroom.
We tried to make most of the space, so the new configuration leaves enough space for everything.
We brought down an absolute minimum of walls, without touching the bearing walls
and most of the installations so our sollution is quite economical and there will be no need for further
renovations.
Most of the furniture you have(if you wish to keep it) can be placed in the apartment
We also made some furniture schemes for the new apartment, as you said you wanted a minimalistic-contemporary style.
We suggest you paint the walls in a bright colour, possibly a more dim/faded variety, because you will be
having plenty of light due to your apartments position, and add some vibrant colours in the form of decorations
and plants, especially on the veranda, to get some positive contrast.
