Description

The purpose of the project is to clearly define the spaces for customers and workers, within a welcoming environment. Already at the entrance you can perceive the centrality of the volume that houses the counter and kitchen, while on one side there are the tables with the bench and chairs and on the other a long wall shelf with stools. At the back of the room, on the left, there are the toilets for customers; on the right, access to the kitchen and services for workers. In the kitchen, the cooking areas are well identified with food preparation and the washing area; at the bottom is the pantry with the fridges. In the kitchen, the wood oven is positioned in such a way that it is clearly visible even to customers.
The project is based on the positioning of the kitchen and the counter, which are located in the volume positioned within the space. The restaurant has openings on one side only: for this reason the kitchen is open to view thanks to the transparent windows, thus allowing the entry of natural light and the direct visual relationship between the customer and the food preparation area.
MATERIALS AND COLORS. The materials used are: wood-effect ceramic on the floor, ash wood for the bench, the wall cladding and the counter cladding; white wall tiles in the kitchen; mustard-colored enamel paint along the walls of the pizzeria and on the ceiling; wall illustrations and wallpaper.
LIGHTS. Diffused lighting is guaranteed by spotlights with track; punctual lighting with pendant lamps above the counter and the tables.
