Description

By keeping most of the existing furniture and floor finish the design is simple yet interesting and cozy. We proposed a clearly divided dining area between two fitowalls, one of them serving also as part of a shelf with two sides, one toward's the entrance for keys or other small stuff and the other towards the TV area for sound system or dvd's. Dining table has been rotated in order to gain view towards the balcony and maybe towards the TV . The entrance has been enlarged trough a mirror and is being divided by wooden oak beams from the pantry area.
The ceiling is lowered above the dining area and above the living area, makes them specific spaces. The lighting scheme is again a simple one, yet it has its impact. The lowered ceiling is as proposed to be finished with a darker wood having in the back a led band, this way it will seem to float in the light. The number of spotlights may vary, depending on their power. Main colors are tones of cream and tan towards brown with small accents of metal and a transparent grey . The proposed sketches are the starting point, giving away some main rules for the design. In can be competed with some blackish chairs made of wire maybe, some more plants or anything that could be fitted without adding too many different colors.
