We have decided that the intervention must be the least invasive, but at the same time have a strong impact on the landlord, friends, and relatives.
I use a mood board represented in different environments requested by the client, developing spatial qualities with a variety of sensations, starting at LVL 1 (Recreational Room), which has been equipped with modern furniture responding to the landlord's interests. The light generates enough comfort for people to have the pleasure of socializing/interacting in this space. Following the (Recreational Room) is placed a little waiting area, which is the link between (Bedroom 1), (Bedroom 2), (Bedroom 3) & (Recreational Room).
With the different ceilings heights, and finishes on the walls. We managed to create a sequence of spaces to go from the most public areas to private ones. We associate the (SPA) as the ideal of relaxation/rest for the owner and his relatives. We decided to use neutral materials simulating typical Italian lands. The use of wood has been the principal aim of the (SPA) design. creating a unique atmosphere.
On LVL 2, we have the (COURTYARD) which is the central space of the house. We decided to partially cover with pergolas, which can be moved at the landlord's pleasure.
Concrete plates have been placed at the (Courtyard) creating the necessary limits for different activities to be carried out. From spaces to share with friends, to entertainment places for the little ones. This space is accompanied by large openings doors linking the interior-exterior, emphasizing the need to be in this space.
For the exterior, the least invasive way to create a link between the interior-exterior was to modify the floor, connecting those spaces with concrete plates linking them.
We believe the concept which we have approached the project has justified the design required by the client. We believe the concept that we have approached with the use of materials, textures, lights, and shadows, and the interior-exterior relationship has been made. An organic place that makes synergy between the owner and its essence.
