Description

The design was envisaged in an efficient and spacious open layout. Since the user is expected to spend maximum time in living area, kitchen and dining, these are given the primary importance in design. All three spaces form one single unit, that is flexible as per usage. Entrance has a credenza / console and comfortable seating area has been provided in the living (with the TV on the wall).

The dining area has open-able glass sliding panels, allowing access to the balcony, and maximizing the experience. The space is provided for a round table, that serves as a work table with a view and is also big enough to accommodate 4 seats when friends are over. Since the primary light source is only through the balcony, the sliding glass panels will maximize the amount of natural light inside the room. The kitchen is full of natural light and is designed as a compact and efficient solution with all the necessary equipment.
The kitchen and bathroom and arranged together such that the service lines (water and waste pipes) can be combined and hence an efficient solution.

The bathroom is comfortable and spacious and is provided a window for light and ventilation. The shower area has also been given a built-in ledge. A small laundry cabinet is created in the balcony, right next to the bathroom wall, that will accommodate the washing machine. This saves the space inside the room.

A cozy bedroom is designed by creating a partition screen with glass panels, that hides the bedroom but also allows light to the room. The space can accommodate a french bed and a large wardrobe for one. Wardrobe doors with mirrors are an efficient solution.

In all, this design allows natural light to all the rooms and delivers an efficient, well-designed space.
