Description

The project focuses on the fusion of two basement cellars in an independent villa to create a two bedroom apartment. The access to this apartment is created from the garage on one side and the apartment is sealed off from the staircase and lift core by closing all the existing entry points. The result is a modern, streamlined and comfortable apartment using black powder coated metal finish on lamps and doors, cement flooring and sleek space saving furniture. The locations of the kitchen sink, bathroom and laundry room are designed to coincide with the existing drain lines. The open space design with frosted glass doors and the location of the bathroom facilitate natural light and ventilation making the most of the low ceiling height and lighting levels on this basement.
