Description

great challenge!

Based on the client's request, the garage space was divided into two distinct spaces:
- space B, with access to the patio, living room and stairs to the basement
- space A with access to the bathroom, elevator and stairs to the upper floors.

Rather than a dividing wall, the proposal sought to create a structure that offers folding furniture, thus enabling the creation of living, working and storage spaces that can be appropriated by users.
These additions can be easily stowed and hidden in the wooden walls.

In addition to these spaces, the aim was to enhance circulation and access, making them efficient, direct and fluid. (plan-circulations-01)

In the stairwells, we tried to individualize the accesses (lower and upper) by means of a wooden wall. However, a discreet sliding door in the same material has been retained, which can be used in an emergency situation.

A simple, anonymous space without much character can be transformed at various times, creating various dynamics through a simple intervention and without destroying the existing structures.

note: the spaces can be seen in renders 1 and 2, but please note that the materials used are different from the originals and can easily be replaced by the originals or by others to the client's liking.
