Description

The challenge at hand involves devising a solution to demarcate the primary room and courtyard on the ground floor from the surrounding areas. The division initiates from the central points of the two main entryways, extending towards the staircase. The primary objective is to establish a cohesive space comprising the sole room, courtyard, and basement, distinctly separated from the rest of the environment. This necessitates a complete segregation of access for ascending and descending stairs, achieved through the implementation of lattice partitions and strategically positioned steel screens to impede any potential connection between the two stair directions.
Upon thorough examination of the reference materials, it is evident that the space is relatively new and well-maintained. Consequently, the proposed design approach is non-intrusive, emphasizing the retention of existing materials to the greatest extent possible.
