Small but suitable for my need to share with art and guests.
This apartment in the past was the classic living room and two rooms, then renovated in its current form: living room with kitchenette, three rooms not very large, balcony.
Slowly the home was emptied by its inhabitants I colonized everything, with the result of an incredible chaos, disorder and sense of disconnection.
Now I can provide for the renovation of these spaces, knowing that they are only for me, but providing a room to accommodate (perhaps paid? And then easily ‘isolable’?)
The problem is that space is not enough, I would like a kitchen and not just a kitchenette, even if attached to the living room, and I have several hobbies, including painting that occupies overwhelmingly square meters!
So I ask you architects the miracle: a room for me, one to accommodate a small second bathroom, a living area with a kitchen and, somewhere, a space to create and paint.
I love white and light, but I’m on the first floor of a building, even if a part of the house is sunny all day long.
In the photos of the desired there are many white and romantic spaces, here, I like the shabby style but not frivolous and with many furnishings, even hate the knick-knacks: romantic, white, yes but almost minimalist.
I was asked about the pillars, well, there are none, they are all outside the perimeter, the plant was made by a friend engineer and is true to reality, in truth this building is the offshoot of another that is all offices, so I guess it was a rethinking of the builder, maybe they were all offices, then with internal spaces to be planned modular, and then they decided to make a part of the offices and the other apartments, in short, the plan is right. The interior height of the apartment is 2.80 m.
the measures of the furniture that I would like to keep, but which may possibly be used elsewhere in the apartment or in another house are: the console 142 cm x 40 cm, the table 110x120cm, the cabinet depth: 50x120cm width, about 195cm tall
from designer:
while working in the project i’ve gathered all the usefull information i found in the message board, i thought it’ll be a good sum up for all , here what i gathered ..
1- larger kitchen area not separated from the living room with more storage capacity.
2- a double sink or even single but with drip.
3- work space not in bedroom or in living area.
4- double bed in main room ,single or even a recratable bed in guest room.
5- another hobbies : sewing, shabby furniture recovery and scrapbooking.
6- Between easels, bowls, vases and brush pots, oil paints, guache, acrylics and watercolors, he take up so much space.
7- bathrooms : it would be preferable to have a bath and a shower, but it is not essential, even a shower in both bathrooms might be good- the smaller bathroom can have only the toilet instead of the toilet and bidet, toilet with built-in bidet or with shower head, but better the first solution.
8- the box in the living room is a chimney and cannot be removed.
9- the balcony is about 4.30x2m – the window, or rather the windows, are all the same, with two doors 130cm wide, 150cm high. The French window 90 * 210.
10- window and obligatory light for the space where solvents and colors are used.
11- For space, it can also be a good corner in the kitchen, not in the living room, not in the rooms where you sleep. At least a 3/4 square meter.
12- workplace About 3/4 square meters of space and a window must be near appropriate position could be a corner in the kitchen .
13- tv , better on wall, near sofà
14- it is not possible to annex the balcony space to the apartment, nor to open new windows on the facade of our building.
15- old furniture are only in the living room
16- the client likes ikea and want to keep the old furniture that are already in the living .
17- The rooms at south face a garden and, in the distance, there are other buildings. The other room, the former kitchen, overlooks another condominium, but are in a wide street with several roadways. Now the client paints in one of the rooms facing south.
18- all door cm 80, bathroom cm 70
19- drainage pipes could be changed .
20- he could possibly use an induction plan instead of gas
21- outer walls 50cms
22- IMPORTANT :
the building code of Rome does not allow to realize rooms with a window smaller than 9 square meters, so the only valid solutions would be a independent hobby room with window (minimum 9 sqm) or a non-independent hobby environment made inside another larger room
