A TYPICAL SIMPLE KITCHEN/DINNING ROOM:
As sir you have asked whether to move kitchen to adjacent room , my suggestion is no sir cause since this is a Tourist/Holiday home the people like to be always together (more fun )which is what is being achieved by keeping both kitchen/living room together.
The other thing that i noted is that the current positioning of furniture's is the only arrangement which is providing the most free space for movement and as this being a tourist house the 1st priority is free space for motion so i have not done much rearrangement. I,am sorry to say that its better sir you do not bring the old look furniture's inside the room because they seem to be bulky and it will really reduce free space.But the Tibetan carpets can be used if you want sir instead of what i suggested in my work and sir you can also use the small tables you showed if you want in certain places which i have mentioned below.
The next thing that i would like to say is that diner table that you own now sir is very much good according to me so i would not insist you to change it but still if you want it be changed if have suggested one.
The one thing i kindly request you to retain is the RED sofa you own sir actually that is what making the room look great at a first glance itself its really a great piece of furniture sir and i am also really impressed about the way you positioned it to perfection.But as the black pillow looks odd just to match the bag-round and contrast i have suggested in hanging a dark colored clock above sofa by replacing your present hanging.For the kitchen cabinet to look awesome i suggest, sir that its better if its uncrowded with utensils ,pans hanging all over so that the grey color could be fully utilized to obtain the GREY-RED contrast in walls (color scheme) .To increase attraction a small wall art sticker is also suggested by me sir but its optional.
I have also chosen lights for your room in such a way that it suits the wall colors and provide the best ambiance for tourists.
Below i have mentioned about LED strip lights 1.the white/yellow one should be installed on ceilings its easy because it runs on battery and can be cut to any length.2.the COLOR Changing one could be installed along THE OPEN WALL BOUNDARIES, DINNING TABLE BORDER, KITCHEN CABINET BORDERS,TV BORDERS etc.its according to your wish Sir.
Finally coming to the color scheme (its not to modern or not to old )its in between them, i have also chosen curtains to match the color scheme which i have illustrated in my work bellow.
