Project description

The design transforms the historic Palazzetto into a contemporary, experience-driven B&B while respecting the character of its architectural context in Piazza della Morte. The interior was completely reworked to create a clean and minimal atmosphere that contrasts elegantly with the preserved stone exterior.

A modern visual language was maintained throughout the project, using straight-line graphics, calm finishes, and materials inspired by local heritage. Subtle cinematic elements were integrated, including movie clapper tags, directional signage, and curated posters from films shot in Viterbo. These elements reflect the client's connection to the film industry and give the space a recognizable identity.

The design aims to feel both culturally grounded and visually memorable. Film posters with production years and exact shooting locations highlight the city's heritage and turn the circulation areas into storytelling moments. A historical map and a concise heritage timeline were added at the entrance to strengthen the sense of place from the first steps inside.

Overall, the design combines historical sensitivity with a contemporary character, creating an Instagrammable and destination-focused experience that enhances the building's appeal and supports its use as a modern B&B.
