This new
layout is conceived to respect and
follow the requirements of the customer. The waiting
area, that can accommodate six people, is close to the reception. The visitors
can wait for their appointment while the receptionist offers them something to
drink. For this reason I inserted a break
area provided with vending machine, coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave and
several high bar tables. This break
area can be used also by the employees of the factory. I had to
remove one corridor to obtain the required spaces for the other offices. In this
project there are two different meeting rooms,
one close to the reception and the break area and the other at the opposite
site of the factory. Both the meetings rooms were planned to have a video
conference system. I made a
preliminary cost estimate in which I considered the construction and demolition
works, the finishing works and the cost for the new furniture. Naturally the
costs for the finishing works and the new furniture depend on several parameters.
