Project description

The project
follows the requirements of the brief: it eliminates the division into
individual offices to create a large workspace with workstations in sharing
and/or open space, to place the all sale’
department. I maintained a
dual circulation of 1.50 m which is
placed around a central core of space to devote to customer relations with the public and work in
meetings (informal meetings, meeting room with movable wall packable for
different configurations of space). On the bottom of the layout is placed the copy area,
the phone booth and the fax room. The open space is in the
southern part of the layout, while the enclosed
offices are all located in the northern part. The reception
and the waiting differ from the regularity of the layout with a circular shape
that recalls the entrance of the building. This is to give centrality to the company’s logo placed on the entrance wall and to give visibility for it. The circular shape also hide the touchdown area for consultants (this is a space that can be used as additional space to the desk, a plan of temporary work to take
some notes as fast or
standing table for discussion during interactions not planned ). Everything has been
designed with the aim to create spaces easily adaptable and reconfigurable. The mood is young, modern,
colorful and
green. It gives the image of an innovative and international company that is
careful to the client and to the employees' necessities (in particular with flexible spaces). Assuming that
it is a sales office of a paint factory, its image must represent the company:
I thought that the presence of
wood gives a image
of elegance and
prestige in the reception’s
area and in the enclosed
offices, but even is important the presence of color for the brand’s
identification. Different colors indicate different spaces: the names of the RAL colors indentify the meeting, the touchdown
area, the informal meetings, the
phone booth anc the copy area. The color is also
present in the open space, along with the presence of the green. The furniture
and the
accessories for the office’s job, as the chatboards, magnetic
board, scrivable glazed wall, and the signage, are all designed to optimize
the space, fully respecting the requirements of the brief. The project is
a layout that from a “
simple working space"
creates "a pleasant space to
work“, elegant, efficient and,
at the same time, young and
modern.
