OUR SPANISH RETREAT

Designing this villa was more than an architectural project—it was an opportunity to create a space that aligns seamlessly with the lifestyle and taste of its owners. We embraced the Spanish style, carefully considering every detail from the exterior facade to the interiors, as well as the garden and landscaping, to create a serene and nature-inspired home. The villa’s design aims to be not only a place of living but also a source of inspiration and cherished memories.

The H-shaped layout optimizes the site’s potential by creating a central courtyard and enhancing views. Designed for a couple, the living area and master bedroom enjoy vistas of both the courtyard and the rear forest. The layout divides the home into public and private zones: the public wing includes the office, guest bathroom, kitchen, and utilities, while the private wing houses the master bedroom, guest room, its bathroom, and the laundry.

The living area is designed with flexibility in mind, allowing furniture arrangements to face either the garden or an optional TV wall. A wall between the kitchen and living area can be added to enhance functionality, based on the owners' preferences. Large windows in spaces facing the courtyard provide a seamless connection to the outdoors, while smaller windows elsewhere ensure privacy. The facade blends Spanish and modern architectural elements, with a recessed entrance that enhances its inviting aesthetic.

Lighting design has been meticulously planned to balance ambiance and functionality. Warm lighting (2700K–3000K) creates a cozy atmosphere in communal areas like the living room and kitchen, while softer lighting (150–200 lux) in bedrooms promotes relaxation. Cooler lighting (4000K–5000K) is used in bathrooms and offices for brightness and focus. Adjustable options ensure personalized comfort throughout.

The garden design complements the villa’s serene character, featuring plants selected for beauty, function, and harmony with nature. Vibrant azaleas, hydrangeas, and daylilies bring life and color, while creeping vines and boxwood create structure and continuity. Lavender adds calming fragrance, and hardy plants like agave and blueberries enhance functionality. Fruit-bearing trees such as figs and plums provide shade, beauty, and seasonal produce.

Every element of this villa, from its architecture to its garden, has been designed to create a stylish, tranquil, and deeply connected living environment.
