Project description

Hello dear client,

This proposal has been prepared following the guidelines you provided, both in terms of aesthetics and functionality. I have maintained the H-shaped structure and the room distribution, aiming for a design that is both practical and visually appealing.

For the choice of window frames, I was inspired by the project you shared and opted for square-patterned frames. However, this choice is not binding: I note that the selected French doors may exceed the budget and can easily be replaced with more traditional solutions, depending on your needs.

The project includes two driveway accesses: one leading to the garage and the other to the front of the house. On the side of the property, a parking area on compacted soil has been proposed. There are two main entrances: one from the garage, connected to the house via a raised passage over the stream, and another at the front. Regarding the raised passage, I understand your preference for a fully enclosed structure, but I opted for an open design covered by a roof, which allows the surrounding natural landscape to be appreciated.

The dividing wall along the road is designed in whitewashed wood, while the main entrance features a stone cover to evoke a Mexican style. The rest of the house is plastered, with a load-bearing wooden structure visible in some areas, such as the kitchen, living room, and the passage connecting the garage to the rooms. The ceilings in the bedrooms and bathrooms, however, are flat and illuminated with LED lights, while the exposed areas feature simple black pendant lamps suspended from the beams.

The layout is functional, with a long, bright corridor enhanced by a glass wall (composed of multiple panels) that opens directly onto the garden. For the flooring, I chose dark wood for the corridor, which also includes integrated cabinets and shelves, and lighter wood for the living area and bedrooms.

Outside, I proposed stone paving in the dining area, keeping the rest simple and adaptable. I proposed a fire pit and a BBQ area but those can be modified or integrated in the future with a pool or other amenities. The terrace and other external details have been deliberately kept minimal to allow for future adjustments. Similarly, the umbrella used in the design could be replaced, for instance, with a pergola.

For vegetation, I selected native plants that are easy to source, along with new trees to ensure privacy and enhance the side parking area. I recommend cleaning the stream while preserving valuable shrubs and trees.

Lastly, for the roofing, I have envisioned Mexican-style clay tiles and dark metal gutters. The load-bearing structure of the roof and house, as well as the beams above the openings, is entirely made of wood.

I hope this proposal meets your expectations.

Best regards
