Description

This solution focuses on four main values - modern look, open space, functionality and many micro zones.

Modern look

Existing furniture, like table and chairs (kitchen) and sofa (living room), is designer and stylish, so it was decided to keep it as is and build the surroundings in the same fashion. Modern look is achieved by using discrete elements - wall patterns that match furniture colour, “floating” shelves (bedroom), “invisible” white light, ceiling spot lights spread out across the entire apartment. Unlike many modern spaces that look a little bit cold, this apartment combines warm wooden floors that perfectly blend with furniture and wall colours.

Open space

What makes this apartment truly unique is the lack of physical walls between rooms. This creates the feeling of an even larger space, freedom of movement and connection between areas. Rooms are separated by clever choice of visual elements - like wooden wall panel, different types of floor, suspended ceiling and different wall patterns. By making opposite-facing walls in living room in different pattern than other walls, an impression is given that this room is connected with the dining area in one long space. Thanks to large sliding windows on the balcony, possibility of being outdoors is one step away.

Functionality

Special attention was dedicated to making this apartment accessible and functional. The entrance door is moved to a more practical location. Movement between areas in the apartment is made especially convenient. Starting from the entrance door, every room is easily accessible (Take a look at Movement connection scheme). Thanks to the lack of walls, large windows and see-through shelves (living room), amount of light in the apartment is maximized.

Micro zones

There are several “micro zones” throughout the apartment (Take a look at Visual connection scheme & 'Micro zones'). One of them is work space with a stunning view on the balcony with plants, modern kitchen and dining area, which boosts creativity. Since it is made of same materials as shelves, desk can also be used as an extra shelf. On the other hand, wooden bar presents a micro zone which is a warm place where people can gather around and talk or work on a laptop. Large sofa, which fits perfectly in the corner of the living room, with a view on the whole apartment, is a place where people can rest and socialize. Wall that is facing the sofa is minimalist, with plenty of space left for technical equipment (audio, video, etc).
