Description

The proposal is based on TIME, on how the space is going tu evolve with the family, we know that it is a young family that seeks to spend a lot of time in that space, the apartment has to have a flexible design, which allows not only to inhabit it today but also to have enough space to store and bring things new.

The design starts from the definition of the areas, private, public and service. With the new order that we gave, the public area is well delimited from the private one, creating a better control of who can enter these spaces.

Priority was given to the client's request to integrate a large space of closets and cabinets, for this we used a space that was only used as a corridor, this area of closets and wardrobe is center, having a public opening from the dining room and a private one that is only access down the corridor of the private area.

In the living room the protagonist is the painting that the client already has by Peter Lik, all the colors and textures that we chose for the room are based on that painting to create a space in harmony. An important element that we kept was the existing wooden floor and we amplified the natural lighting of the space by introducing white furniture in the dining room, studio and kitchen area.

A comment by the client indicated that they plan to work from home, a workstation with natural lighting was created near the dining room, this space has a desk that allows you to work and store the equipment in the side and top compartments of the furniture.

As the kitchen has only one window, it was chosen to use white and chrome tones to amplify the natural light. The type of breakfast table that we propose is a model that allows you to hide the chairs and use it as a normal kitchen work table.

In the service area, a large space for ironing was created separate from the laundry area and a new access to the balcony was created to function as a service area.

The children's room was ordered so that in the future a simple dividing wall is created to store the closets for each one of them.

In conclusion, I would like to highlight that you have acquired a very good apartment and it was a pleasure to contribute with ideas to the project, Thanks!
