Description

The main point of the design was to create a cozy home, seemingly larger trough light colors such as white. We accentuated just slightly the white canvas trough famous designer objects such as Verner flowerpot pendants ( which make the height of the house seem bigger), Vitra Panton Chair (by the same designer), James Eames bar stools and Elisabeth Delavega Sofa. The design is open, light and somehow playful , keeping an stylish air trough famous designers accents. Planimetrically we chose the best solution for a small home, keeping the kitchen as an open kitchen island including dining place and everything needed for cooking. The point was to have a dining spot where all occupants have view towards the house and towards the large window opening to the back yard. We proposed a slightly lower false ceiling suitable for spotlights in this area. Another dining/working spot was placed near the window towards the garden. We enclosed laundry and bathroom near the plumbing pipes , creating a main entrance and by carefully placing the two doors and it resulted a large clean living wall suitable for tv , bookcase and why not a reading spot. We accentuated the design by nice glass finished, a bit transparent and colored , among side a wooden staircase, placed in a wooden finished wall. Upstairs we currently have a large bedroom with an office and dressing that could become a second bedroom in the future sharing the same window. The bathroom is strategically placed above the one on the ground floor keeping the master bedroom a little bit covered from the downstairs view.
