Description

The project focuses on the reconfiguration of an existing living unit, in order to separate the current floors and insert new functions inside the first floor.
The entrance to the upper floor is shifted towards the left, and the diagonal partition wall is replaced with a straight wall, in order to separate the two spaces and maximize the usable area. The entrance to the first floor is accessed from the right side balcony, through the old storage space that becomes the main entrance hallway to the apartment. This area is divided through a light partition wall from the open kitchen space that accommodates a dining area as well. The area continues with a large living room that opens up towards the existing big window wall.
The master bedroom includes a double bed and storage space and has access to a small ensuite bathroom with a toilet, sink and shower cabin. The second bedroom is smaller in size and accommodates a double bed and compact storage space. The main bathroom maintains its position and configuration.
The design approach aims to be minimalistic and non-intrusive, meanwhile generating a fluent and operational space that is both functional and aesthetic.
