After studying and analyzing the needs and requirements, I devised one alternative for the ground floor and two for the first floor. The ground floor has two B&Bs, a study room, and laundry. From the entrance, a hall can lead to the main house and the B&Bs. At the main house entrance is a closet where coats, shoes, and other things are stored. After arriving at the first floor, there is a small hall with a cabinet to put things/display. The right side is the living area from this hall, and the left is the private area. I proposed an open layout design that integrates living, dining, and kitchen. However, there are folding doors in the kitchen that can be closed on demand. The difference between alternatives 1 and 2 on the first floor is the layout of bedroom one and the bathroom.
For the color palette, I chose neutral colors such as wood, white, black, and grey, with a touch of green and some indoor plants. I proposed two kinds of dining tables, chairs, and lamps for the furniture and style. I also proposed different colors for the windows facing the balcony: one is the existing wood color, and the other is white.
