Project description

This floor plan represents the initial concept design for a 100-square-meter apartment renovation. The key idea behind this layout is to create a modern, open-plan living space by merging the kitchen (K) and living room (C), which face the balcony. The dividing wall between these two areas is planned to be demolished to enhance spatial continuity and natural light.

The storage room, originally intended for general utility, has been partially repurposed. A 50x120 cm section of it is now allocated to accommodate hidden appliances such as a washing machine and dishwasher, creating a compact but efficient laundry zone. The rest remains as accessible storage.

In the bathroom, I redesigned the layout to integrate a minimal, frameless glass walk-in shower with a low-entry tray, promoting a clean and functional aesthetic.

The furnishing approach follows Scandinavian minimalism: clean lines, neutral colors, and space-saving furniture that supports a simple and serene lifestyle. The kitchen is deliberately designed without tall cabinets to keep the atmosphere light and airy. The living area is arranged with compact seating and a clear view toward the balcony to emphasize openness.

Overall, the design balances practicality with elegance, tailored for a single resident who values both comfort and clarity in daily life.
