The basic idea behind the project is to redesign this large apartment to suit a modern lifestyle. The kitchen that was originally right at the entrance was moved to the other corner thereby creating a series of articulated passage-ways that create a hierarchy of spaces leading from a foyer to an open living/dining/cooking area. A series of arches in the passage-way evoke the idea of a colonnade creating interesting visual perspectives while a catalan vault ceiling accentuates the arched passage-way extending into the living area. The cooking area and the dining area can be visually sealed off from the living area with folding doors. The apartment accommodates four bedrooms and three bathrooms equipped with all the necessities for a comfortable modern lifestyle!
