Description

The project proposes the demolition of all internal existing walls and rearranging the space for the new functional purpose. The entrance door is moved closer to the existing column to make room for the bathroom to be located in the corner- furthest from the façade and the windows. A small entry space is proposed defined by the bathroom on one side and a ceiling high wardrobe on the other and a sliding door separating it from the living area. The space where the bathroom used to be now is occupied by a small kitchen with an eating area for two people. Locating the eating area in front of the windows allows for the radiators to be free from kitchen cabinets. The project proposes the removal of one of the exiting radiators and putting a bigger one in place of the other to compensate. /Both radiators could be kept as is but the one closest to the kitchen cabinets might not be efficient- this could be decided in the next phase of the project/. The proximity of the vertical drain is used to put a washing machine and a dryer between the kitchen and the balcony door. The rest of the space is used for a living/sleeping area. The proposal shows a double bed with dimensions160x190см and a small seating area in front of it. This can easily be changed to a larger sofa that can turn into bed for more floor space/depending if the priority of the users will be day or night use of the space. On one side of the bed is storage space and on the other a small working space.
The proposed organization of space achieves optimal efficiency while offering all the basic functions a living space needs.
