Project description

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to work on your project. This is my proposal.

MAIN IDEAS:
1. Change the POSITION of the LIVING AND DINING ROOM and visually connect them with the kitchen, so the spaces seem larger and brighter.
2. The dining area is framed by a new ARCH at the entrance of the living and dining room. This element helps to get that spaciousness, which is also achieved through a glass that is half of the kitchen wall.
3. Create a new STUDIO that becomes a GUEST ROOM with a sofa-bed.
4. Using a CENTRAL WALL and two sliding doors on the sides, the studio is open and connects to the living and dining room.
5. The POSITION of the BEDROOMS is reversed. The main bedroom is expanded, adding an open closet with a wardrobe and a low-cabinet.
6. In the KIDS BEDROOM the beds' position tries to invade the minimum, in order to leave more space for the game.
7. The existing bathroom is divided in TWO; a private BATHROOM of the main bedroom and another one general that is interior. To provide light to the interior bathroom, is placed a narrow window in the upper part of the wall that separates the two bathrooms.

MATERIALS:
Floors: Gres porcellanato in neutral tones; sand color in general and anthracite color at the kitchen and the private bathroom.
Painted walls: Off-white color.
Bathroom 1: As it is interior, it is used the light-colored gres porcellanato, and the walls and floor of the shower are covered with Bisazza mosaic that its brightness and its yellow tones give light to the room.
Bathroom 2: The walls and floor are covered with anthracite gres porcellanato, except the left lateral wall that is coated with pieces that mimic old hydraulic tiles.
Kitchen: Anthracite gres porcellanato floor and glazed brick walls in beige tone.

FURNITURE:
The proposal seeks a classic and modern style at once, with little romantic touches. There are plenty of neutral colors: beige, white, grey, black… and are added small splashes of color. Conventional materials such as wood are mixed with more modern ones such as glass or metal.
The lower kitchen cabinets are black and have a provenzal style while the high ones have modern glass doors. The kitchen is small, and combining two types of furniture helps to give amplitude.

Hope you like it. Best regards.
