Caro cliente,
tenendo in considerazione le sue richieste per l’unione di queste due unità abitative, passo a spiegarle quello che è il mio progetto.
Come da lei richiesto l’entrata principale è stata mantenuta nell’appartamento di sinistra, dove come prima stanza si incontra un ampio ingresso e subito a sinistra un piccolo studio, in modo da poter essere usato anche come ufficio se necessario e, per renderlo più fruibile, dall’interno della casa si è preferito aprire una porta verso il soggiorno nel punto dove priva vi era la nicchia.
Nel soggiorno è stato mantenuto il camino preesistente e la nicchia sulla parete di sinistra; l’arredo è stato pensato disposto frontale al detto caminetto in modo che questo funga da elemento focale della stanza. Sotto le due finestre è stato disposto un mobile basso. Nell’angolo estremo sinistro un piccolo bagno di servizio ad uso della zona giorno.
Là dove prima era disposto lo studio è stata collocata la sala da pranzo, pensata con una grande apertura vetrata verso il soggiorno e un passaggio verso la vera e propria cucina ricavata in quella che prima era una camera da letto. In questo modo nell’ appartamento di sinistra si snoda tutta la zona giorno del nuovo appartamento. Proprio dalla cucina parte, parallelo al muro cieco, un corridoio che serve da collegamento alla zona notte. Tra le due parti in posizione centrale, è stata collocata la lavanderia. Il nuovo corridoio fornisce la possibilità di lasciare le finestre ad uso esclusivo di ogni singola stanza, così si è potuto trasformare la vecchia cucina del secondo appartamento nella camera degli ospiti. Le due camere singole per i bambini sono state mantenute con la disposizione attuale, pensando solo ad alcuni piccoli aggiustamenti nei rispettivi bagni.
Il soggiorno dell’appartamento di destra è diventato esclusivamente la camera padronale nella nuova casa, con il bagno privato, provvisto di doccia e vasca, e la cabina armadio (ambiente separato dalla camera).
Il secondo ingresso è stato mantenuto predisponendo un piccolo ambiente che funge da filtro prima di accedere alla camera da letto. Si è pensato che, laddove se ne dovesse avere la necessità, questo ingresso potesse dare la possibilità di utilizzare quest’ala dell’appartamento quasi fosse un elemento autonomo e indipendente.

taking into account her requests for the union of these two housing units, I pass to explain what is my project.
Come to her request, the main entrance was kept in the left apartment, where as a first room there is a large entrance and immediately to the left a small studio, so it can also be used as an office if necessary and to make it more usable. Inside of the house, it was preferred to open a door to the living room where the was the niche there.
In the living room the pre-existing fireplace and the niche on the left wall were kept; the furnishings was thought to be frontal to the fireplace so that it functions as a focal point of the room. Underneath the two windows was placed a low cabinet. In the extreme left corner a small service bathroom for living area use.
Where the studio was first placed, the study was placed in the dining room, conceived with a large glazed opening towards the living room and a walk to the real kitchen made in what was formerly a bedroom. In this way, in the apartment on the left, the entire living area of the new apartment unfolds. Just from the kitchen, parallel to the blind wall, a corridor serves as a link to the sleeping area. Between the two parts in the central position, was placed the laundry. The new corridor offers the possibility to leave the windows for exclusive use of each single room, so it was possible to transform the old kitchen of the second apartment into the guest room. The two single rooms for children are maintained with the current arrangement, thinking only of some small adjustments in their respective bathrooms.
The living room of the right apartment has become exclusively the master bedroom in the new house, with private bath, shower and bath, and walk-in closet (room separate from the room).
The second entrance has been maintained by providing a small room that acts as a filter before accessing the bedroom. It was thought that, wherever necessary, this entrance could give you the opportunity to use this part of the apartment as if it were an independent and autonomous element.
