CONCEPT
The design of this apartment incorporates an open plan space with a characteristic feature: an ebony closet-unit with a fireplace that divides the living spaces from the master bedroom and organizes clear motions of flow.

LIVING SPACES
The living space is an open-plan space comprising of a kitchen, a dining area, a lounge area and a reading corner with shelves. An energy-efficient fireplace by the closet-unit plays a dominant role in terms of aesthetics and function, offering heat to the whole apartment. The fireplace is a see-through energy-efficient wood stove, with glass door-panels on both sides. A pipe runs from the fireplace to the back of the house, heating with air-vents the living spaces, the master bedroom, the walk-in-closet, the master bath, and the secondary bedroom.

MASTER BEDROOM
The master bedroom comprises of the sleeping area, a walk-in closet and a big en-suite bathroom. The sleeping area overlooks the see-through fireplace and the ebony walk-in closet-unit. The sleeping area features a built-in bed with side tables. The master bathroom features a counter with built-in appliances: a sink, a bidet, a toilet. The counter turns into a sitting bench in the shower.

SECONDARY BEDROOM
The secondary bedroom features a double bed, a closet and a built-in desk for studying. It has access to the north terrace and it is next to the guests bathroom. This bedroom can be used along with the guests bathroom and the terrace as a separate studio for guests.

GUESTS BATHROOM
This bathroom features a counter with built-in sink and toilet, which turns into a sitting bench in the shower, just like the master bathroom.

INTERIOR STORAGE
Behind the bedroom there is a storage room with access from the inside of the apartment. This storage can be used as a general/food or cleaning storage. Alternatively, it can be used as an extra walk-in closet for the master bedroom.

EXTERIOR GARRETS
Space for the exterior garrets is minimized and used as exterior storages and laundry space.

MATERIALS
For the flooring: solid wood in fishbone pattern is used. For the closet unit and the master bed: ebony or similar dark wood panels are used. The kitchen cabinets are lacquered white and the countertop is white or grey techno-granite/starron/corian. The flooring and counters of the bathrooms are white marble and the walls are grey micro-cement.
