Obiettivo principale del progetto è la valorizzazione dell’appartamento storico di Palermo rispettando le nuance delle rifiniture esistenti e utilizzando al meglio gli spazi. La zona living/pranzo è caratterizzata dalla grande libreria in legno che si trasforma in parete attrezzata e supporto tv. Qui trovano spazio i divani (2 e 3 posti), la chaise longue e la lampada arco-flos che, grazie ad un chiaro tappeto, si sollevano dal pavimento in cotto italiano. Nell’area destinata al pranzo un tavolo in vetro allungabile diventa ideale per cenare con amici, godendo della calda atmosfera suggerita anche dal camino. La cucina è separata da una porta scorrevole in vetro per consentire il miglior passaggio della luce e i mobili sono per questo chiari e privilegiano mensole ai pensili, così come richiesto dal cliente. Attraverso un piccolo disimpegno si raggiunge la zona lavanderia e il bagno (con doccia) dotati di ingressi indipendenti. Lo studio attrezzato con un angolo lavoro ospita anche i due cassettoni cinesi.
Lo stile scelto per la casa attraverso l’utilizzo di elementi esistenti e nuovi punta a rendere gli spazi accoglienti, eleganti e ricercati.
The main goal of the project consists to enhance the historical apartment in Palermo, maintaining the existing trims’ nuances and at same time optimising the space. The living room zone is characterised by the large woody bookcase that transforms in a wall unit with a TV support. In this area we find the couches, the chaise long and the arco-flos lamp that lift off the italian tile floor thanks to the white carpet. In the lunch area, a pull-out glass table becomes a perfect place for dining with friends, enjoying the warm atmosphere suggested by the present of the chimney. The kitchen is separated by a glass sliding door, to allow a better passage of the light, for this reason the furnitures are clear preferring the use of shelves to single cabinets, following the request of the customer. The laundry and the bathroom (with a shower) are provided with an independent entrance and can be reached through a small access. The study is equipped with a working section and includes the two chinese boxes.
The house style renders all the spaces as elegant, very cozy and sophisticated thanks to the use of the existing and the new architectural and design elements.
