This project has been done to show to the client how to decorate the living area. This is only a concept made using most of the existing furniture and adding just few details and colours, in order to cope with the client requests and save money.

The room is nice and modern, it is very well planned, even though some important elements are missing as light and colour. Most of the existing furniture and accessories are white, gray and black, with just a little bit of yellow in the two small cushions on the sofa. This is not enough, so I realized a mood board to show how the living room can look like with some lime green and yellow accessories. Those two colours are perfect to match with the gray and black surfaces. The room will look much better if you can add one or two 'lime green' armchairs and a yellow side table and few details. A couple of big colorful pieces are needed to light the space.

I would use only one of the two carpets otherwise they will close up the space too much. I suggest also to move the black small sofa close to the staircase and add a small 'lime green' side table, this will create a little 'reading corner' separated to the main area to relax or read a book. I suggest to set up the dining table on the other side of the room in order to create the dining space and separate it to the entrance and the corridor. In that space it is also possible to add a nice buffet to make it feel even more sophisticated. The living room will look very nice with some living plants and flowers as well.

Last but not least is the light. Light is very important in a space and because the walls are gray they absorb a lot of light, so the room needs more of it. I suggest to use accent and task lights as floor lamp close to the couches, one on the left side of the white one and one on the left side of the black sofa as well. It will be great to hang two big chandeliers above the dining table, they should be white coloured and with a modern style, they will give light to that space and will be the surprise object of the room so make sure to choose a piece of art! Natural light is also very important, it should always used as much as possible.
