The gleaming house on the barrea lake
The important thing before each project is to take literally all the requirements of the client, I quote:
1- on the first level : living area and change the chicken coop
2- acces from the small door on the back
3- two bedrooms with attached bathroom
4- balcony on the first floor ( crystal cube ) accessible to everyone and not exclusive for a bedroom
The constraints imposed facilitate the work of the architect and give him the keys to compose. The basis of the design was to maximize the view of the lake which is sublime. So we made sure that all the spaces were directed towards the lake. The first step was to remove the existing intermediate floor for better height distribution and then a terracing will be carried out to put the ground floor at the same level of that of the outdoor terrace. This has allowed to obtain the necessary flexibility to create a box glass accessible to all. The porosity of the new floors makes the spaces on the ground floor well lit. The second level hosts a bedroom and a bathroom and secondary access. The third level was created by taking advantage of the ceiling height. There will be room that enjoys a magnificent view. And so we were able to create pleasant and easy to access spaces, illuminated and freshly decorated. For the interior design we made sure to keep to the maximum the natural stone already present. Natural materials such as wood and glass were added. We have furnished modern and cozy furniture. The result is a modern house that keeps traces of its history.
