Briefing

Dear designers,

this Contest is about the complete renovation of our house to transform it in a modern villa. The house has a beautiful surrounding view and we’d like it to be valued and exploited to its full potential in the projects. For these reasons, it will be necessary to modify the actual distribution of the floorplan.
On the ground floor (area nr° 26) we’d like to have the pool and garden. We will appreciate if you could find space to create also a changing room (maybe made of wood?).
In the area nr°27 we’d like to have the dining area with a gazebo or a bioclimatic porch. As you can see, in this area there is a spiral staircase that leads on the first-floor terrace, we really need to replace the staircase with a new one that is more comfortable and good-looking.
In the area nr°1 there will be the big kitchen with small pantry. You could put the island and the dining table in the kitchen. We are thinking about having a pizza oven in this space.
In the areas nr° 3 and 4 there will be the living room with fireplace (on the partition wall). We want this space to be completely re-designed. We want it to be a modern, comfortable space.
In the area nr°6 we’d like to have a study room/guest room.
In the area nr°10 there is a covered parking space and we want it to be re-designed. Also, in the areas nr°11 and 12 we’d like to have a small utensil/tools closet and woodshed.
In the areas nr° 3-4-5 there is a glass wall that divides the house from the street. We’d like to replace this wall with some modern structure that both preserves our privacy and does not completely shield the view.
We are going to replace the window fixtures and shutters. We are also going to replace all the banisters and fences and we are going to paint the facades of the house in a different colour.
We need to replace the stairs that lead to the first floor, maybe we could have one that has closets/storage space in the first steps.
We really need a lot of storage space/cabinets/closets (and we’d like them to be as discreet as possible).
On the first floor, we need 2 bedrooms with walk-in-closet: 1 master bedroom + 1 bedroom for a girl of 5 years old. In the master bathroom we want both the shower and the bathtub.
In the areas nr°23-22-21 we’d like to create a spa/relax area with sauna, treadmill and exercise bike. We also want to demolish the partition wall and connect this area to the house.
In the area nr°22 there is a big terrace with a wonderful view. We’d really like to give the most value to it and to the view.
In the area nr°23 we’d like a stair, a vegetable garden and an orchard.
We need your help to choose the banisters in the terraces. We are going to put solar panels on the second-floor terrace.
We are going to replace all the flooring (both internal and external) and all the bathrooms tiles.
We like white, the shades of blue and sky blue and light wood.

Il progetto deve prevedere la ristrutturazione totale della casa per trasformarla in una villa in stile moderno. La villa è molto panoramica e uno degli obiettivi è valorizzare al massimo la veduta. Bisognerà provare a non modificare la pianta originaria.
Al piano terra nell’area indicata con il nr 26 dovrà essere prevista una piscina interrata ed un’area verde. Vediamo se c’è la possibilità di installare uno spogliatoio ad esempio in legno.
Al numero 27 ci dovrà essere un gazebo o una pergola bioclimatica, sarà l’area pranzo esterna.
In fondo all’area 27 c’è una scala a chiocciola che consente l’accesso al terrazzo al primo piano, deve essere sostituita con un’altra scala più agevole e più carina.
Nell’area 1 c’è una cucina molto grande con un piccolo ripostiglio che sarà la credenza. La cucina potrà avere un’isola ed un tavolo, il frigorifero dovrà essere a libera installazione con due porte. Valutiamo l’ipotesi di mettere un forno a legna per le pizze.
Nell’area 3 e 4 c’è il soggiorno con un camino sulla parete divisoria. Deve essere totalmente ridisegnato per renderlo moderno.
Nell’area 6 si potrà prevedere uno studio con la possibilità di trasformazione in camera degli ospiti.
L’area 10 ha un gazebo adibito a posto auto, deve essere ridisegnata. Anche l’area 11 e 12 devono essere disegnate prevedendo una casetta per gli attrezzi e la legnaia.
L’area pavimentata esterna che costeggia l’area 3-4-6 ha una parete in vetro che separa dalla strada esterna. Deve essere sostituita con qualcosa di più moderno che non occluda la vista dalla finestre ma allo stesso tempo che consenta la privacy interna.
Mantenendo la forma, le finestre dovranno essere sostituite e così le persiane. Vogliamo sostituire anche tutte le ringhiere per trasformarle in più moderne. Il colore delle pareti esterne della villa deve essere cambiato.
La scala di accesso al primo piano deve essere ridisegnata, nella parte inferiore potrebbe essere previsto un armadio.
Devono essere previsti tanti contenitori, armadi, mobili con il minor impatto visivo possibile.
Al primo piano ci dovranno essere due camere da letto di cui una per una bambina di 5 anni e cabine armadio. Il bagno grande dovrà avere sia doccia che la vasca da bagno.
Nell’area tra 23-22-e 21 che al momento è totalmente separata dalla casa vorremmo abbattere la parete del bagno per collegarla da dentro e mettere un’area relax con una sauna, il tapis roulant e la cyclette.
Nell’area 22 c’è un terrazzo grandissimo panoramicissimo, attendiamo suggerimenti su come valorizzarlo.
Nell’area 23 si dovrà prevedere una scala ed un giardino con frutteto ed orto.
Nei vari terrazzi bisognerà progettare delle ringhiere. Sul terrazzo sul tetto del secondo piano ci dovranno essere i pannelli solari.
I pavimenti sia interni che esterni devono essere tutti sostituiti, analogamente i rivestimenti di tutti i bagni. Bisogna prevedere una piccola area lavanderia e stireria.
Ci piace il bianco, le varie tonalità del blu e del celeste ed il legno chiaro. La casa deve essere luminosa, i colori e le disposizioni del mobili dovranno esaltare la luminosità.
