Project description

This proposal has been developed to transform a compact 30 m² shell-and-core apartment into a timeless luxury suite that exceeds the experience of a five-star hotel while remaining practical for intensive short-term rental use. Rather than treating the apartment as a conventional studio, the design creates a clear sequence of spaces that provides privacy, comfort, and a memorable guest experience from the moment of arrival.
The bathroom remains adjacent to the existing plumbing connections to minimize construction complexity and ensure long-term reliability. The kitchenette is positioned along the service wall and includes fully integrated appliances, creating a clean and uninterrupted architectural appearance. Full-height cabinetry near the entrance accommodates the wardrobe, concealed laundry, and a separate locked housekeeping compartment for linens and cleaning supplies, allowing efficient maintenance without compromising the guest experience.
A permanent queen-size bed has been placed within a dedicated sleeping zone, separated from the living area by a slim architectural partition. This subtle divider creates privacy while preserving the openness of the apartment, allowing daylight from the full-height glazing to reach every corner of the interior. The partition also establishes a boutique hotel atmosphere instead of the feeling of a typical studio apartment.
The living area is oriented toward the floor-to-ceiling windows and balcony to maximize natural light and connect the interior with the outdoor view. A comfortable sofa, lounge chair, and large wall-mounted television create a premium relaxation space suitable for both leisure and business travelers. A dedicated ergonomic workstation has been integrated beside the sleeping area, providing a comfortable and quiet environment for remote work without interfering with the social spaces.
The overall material palette follows a Quiet Luxury approach, combining seamless microcement surfaces, warm natural wood, concealed lighting, and integrated furniture to create a calm, sophisticated, and highly durable interior. Every element has been designed to withstand frequent guest turnover while maintaining a refined appearance over time.
The design deliberately avoids fold-out beds, Murphy beds, and complex transformable furniture, ensuring a permanent, robust, and intuitive living environment. The result is a highly functional, visually spacious, and Instagram-worthy apartment that fulfills the client's vision of an ultra-premium short-term rental and offers an experience beyond that of a conventional five-star hotel.
