REQUIREMENTS
1- Bathrooms - must be two, one could be ensuite with the master bedroom but not necessarily. One of the bathrooms may be without windows. The washing machine should be placed in one of the two bathrooms or in the storage room. // 2- Kitchen and living room - There are plenty of solutions regarding the living room and the kitchen. These are the guidelines: If the kitchen is separate and is small (for example in the position where it is now), it’s ok to have just a small floor/peninsula or a small table, even just for breakfast. In this case, the dining table goes into the living room. If the kitchen is separate and large enough, you can locate the dining table either in the kitchen itself or in the living room. If you opt for the open space, you have no restrictions. // 3- Study area - I’d prefer to have a separate room for the study area (minimum size is 8 square meters); if this is not possible you can integrate it into the living room. // 4- Dining table - can be extendable, it’s important that when open it will be for 6/8 people. // 5- Library - the living room should have space for a big library. // 6- Bedrooms - both shouldn't have any TV. In the master bedroom it can also be designed the walk-in closet. // 7- Storage room - it would be nice to have a niche to be used as a closet for the houseclean tools and, if necessary, for the washing machine.
DESCRIPTION
The project aims to maximize the potential of existing spaces.
We tried to keep what was the starting point without completely distorting the constraints (windows, pillars, bathroom drains). The bathrooms are contiguous and the water adaptation absolutely manageable.
The living room gains prominence with the inclusion of the kitchen with breakfast area and the two bedrooms remain airy and functional. The space dedicated to the study was placed in the room currently occupied by the kitchen and with its 10 square meters can easily become room for guests if necessary (as well as single room): it would have been a shame not to use the window available! The corridor has been narrowed, bringing it to typical dimensions and here have been housed cupboards that serve as a closet, pantries or wardrobe. The largest bathroom will be equipped with a controlled ventilation system: here there will be a washing machine (possibly stackable dryer) and a space for various accessories.allows better ventilation and natural lighting; living room and dining room communicate but at the same time they are divided by the translucent box that acts as a wardrobe, allowing to fully comply with current regulations in terms of aeroilluminating regulations.
01_EQUIPPED WALL: In the living room the wall can be equipped as best you wish: the "niche" defined by the existing walls can contain the TV cabinet as well as a large bookshelf, for use and desire of the customer.
02_WALL BOOKCASE: Taking advantage of the presence of the pillar, the housing of a bookcase and its shelves is perfect.
03_KITCHEN: Designed to contain all the requests, it also uses the pillar and, moving the wall that adjoins the corridor, creates a perfect space for inserting the refrigerator (which can also be larger than the 60cm canons). By defining a horseshoe, the entire part that opens up from the open space will be light and free of wall units, so as to keep the space as bright as possible.
04_STUDY: As reported in the description, the available surface is exploited to the maximum, becoming a room for guests as needed.
05_WALL CABINETS: Having privileged habitable environments, the closet has not been placed. Nonetheless, he does not let us feel his absence, given the various built-in closets in the corridor and in the larger bathroom.
06_WALK-IN CLOSET: As requested, the master bedroom has a walk-in closet at the entrance and connection to the smaller bathroom for exclusive use with a bathtub under the window. A regulatory note: the square meters of the room indicated also contain those of the walk-in closet.
