I had immense pleasure while designing elevation for your house. first thing that i kept in mind while designing is to have modern approach. Concept is having space connected to outside landscape while keeping the original plan of the house same. Decided to keep the original pergolas appearance while giving sense of intimate space around the house to relax and enjoy. Also It created small landscape pockets around so good ventilation can happen near private bedroom areas. Wanted to highlight the entrance part so person doesn't have to navigate. Created a pocket near entrance and having different material and color makes it prominent feature of the house. the original pergola concept incorporated in the parking space, In this way there will less demotion of the original masonry . Light and shadow plays important role in creating external pergola shaded patio spaces around the house. It will play as a scenery as per seasonal changes. Having outside spaces will give the house illusion of bigger space and height. The juxtaposition of pergola and wall creates rhythmic effect around the house.
