Residential - Apartment
This project was developed with the goal of creating space and fluidity in a residential setting, organizing the functions in a natural and structured way to design a home that is both beautiful and practical.
The layout optimizes the spaces efficiently, ensures the separation of private and shared areas, avoids unnecessary demolition of walls, and rebuilds only a few where needed.
I have prepared three design solutions for this project, each offering a suitable idea for the spaces based on your preferences and needs. In two of the solutions, as requested, the kitchen stays in its original location, while improving circulation and optimizing the layout for better use of space. In the third option, the kitchen is moved to the other side of the home to create an open living space and a better connection between the kitchen and living room. This also matches your preference for the right side of the home. In this version, the kitchen is visually connected to the living area, and the view from the kitchen to the TV is better than in the other designs. Also, the children's room is placed in a way that it can be divided into two separate parts in the future. It allows for two separate entrances (one from the opposite wall of Entrance) and the possibility of having two different light sources — one from the balcony door and another from the window.
All three plans are shown in two versions each, as it was not clear which one would be more suitable for your flexible needs. So, I have considered both options.
For example, in Plan 1 –B, the two bathrooms are placed next to each other and close to the EX-bathroom location. The children's room has access to the balcony and can be entered from two directions by parents. The laundry and storage rooms are next to each other, and I included a walk-in closet for the master bedroom.
In Option A of the same plan, the parents’ bedroom has access to the balcony (instead of the children’s room), based on your preference for the right side of the house. The laundry room is accessible from the kitchen. Instead of a walk-in closet, each bedroom has its own wardrobe, and there is an extra storage space at the end of the hallway, as you requested.
In the other designs, I was not limited to keeping the bathrooms in the same location. The bathrooms are relocated, the rooms are larger, and the second bathroom is positioned so that guests can use it without entering the private bedroom areas. You can choose the plan that best fits your taste.
On the wall facing the entrance, I placed a wardrobe for coats and shoes. Part of it has a mirrored door to create a better feeling upon entering the home, and another part is designed as open shelving, which you can use to display personal or family memories, adding lighting to create a beautiful entrance.
In most plans, I placed the fireplace in the corner next to the structural column of the living room, creating a cozy and elegant spot.
I have tried to separate the private and public areas through careful planning, so there is no need to use physical dividers.
I hope You like it.
