Description

The design proposal focuses on achieving a simple yet functional spatial configuration of the apartment by making effective use of all available spaces with minimum effort. Instead of residing on excessive design solutions, a rather rational design approach has been adopted.
The use of a large sectional sofa and a comfortable armchair combined with a media bench and a bookcase make for a cosy corner and set the living room at the heart of the apartment throughout the day. The use of two dining tables instead of one has been decided in order to serve different purposes. The rectangular table can be used for more formal occasions such as eating with guests, while the smaller round one will be used for having breakfast and also for supplementing the small kitchen. Existing yellow dresser is proposed to be painted white. In the master bedroom, furniture has been limited to just a king size bed for comfortable sleeping and some extra storage space. A curtain will block daylight when necessary. The workroom has been planned in a way so as to function well not only for working, but for relaxing as well. The guestroom is intended not only to offer space to guests, but can work as a place for contemplation too. Finally, the use of plants in the balcony is intended for securing privacy.
